I just found out...how does that happen? Not keeping in touch with people you truly care for due to life changes. I had some of my happiest times with Dottie and tried calling her today as I haven't noticed her coming and going from her home which is right across the street. When I called and it said her phone was no longer in service I had an awful feeling. Not wanting to, I went online and this is how I found out. Dear Sharon, and all of her beautiful family, I am sorry for your loss. You had the best mother, mother in law, grandmother and friend. She had a beautiful life with your dad and all of you. I am so grateful for the time I spent with her and know she is holding hands with her very best friend and the love of her life.
Such a beautiful woman, inside and out.

I just read about Dot's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing and teaching with her at Huse School. Later, she was my daughters teacher at Dike/Newell. Wendy so admired Mrs. Swanson who was a favorite teacher. Her kind, caring manner certainly made a difference in all those she taught and knew. Sending my sympathy to her family.

Dottie and I first met 9 years ago at the YMCA in Bath for the Mermaids swim group. Dottie was such a lovely, smart, caring lady and I was happy to know her. Six years ago she needed a home for her lovely cat Nessy. I gladly made room in my home for Nessy. Dottie called often to check on her beloved cat and we had great conversations. I will miss Dottie very much.

I shall dearly miss seeing Dorothy this summer while in Bath. Such a lovely, beautiful lady with the kindness heart.
My condolences to her family on the loss of such a blessing in life.
