We are very sorry the your loss Keith, you are in our prayers. After reading all the stories or memories of your dad I wish that I would have known him. Dave Cyr

Chase was the friendliest, most upbeat, and giving person I ever knew. We met in the late 70's and we traveled together all over the Northeast to hundreds of running races and cross country ski races. A fierce competitor on the race course, he was a true friend and benefactor to me and anyone who needed a helping hand. I will never forget you buddy.

I knew Chase from "The Gym" in Lewiston. He was a regular Energizer Bunny!! He was always on the move and encouraging others to do the same. One day he was going snowshoeing and I thought maybe someone should go with him. I had snowshoes in my car so I went. Boy was I worn out! And he still wanted to keep going! I suggested that we might get frostbite, but I was really afraid I couldn't keep up! He was amazing! And then, those shoelaces! How does anyone walk like that?! He could even do my hula-hoop! Amazing man! My thoughts go to his family who has suffered such a great loss. He will be missed by many.

I have had some communication recently with Nelson. I certainly fall into the category of being mentored by Chase. I met him likely 1978 in summer. My wife worked at Tripp Lake Camp and Chase was the baker. I was a college basketball player. I started jogging to stay in shape for basketball. We'd do some running together and he was always suggesting tips. He always stayed a 1/2 step ahead of me as well. Then I started cycling and would do some riding and he was the first person who talked of things to watch for etc. I would see him down through the years. Obviously, just a great man.

I haven't seen cousin Chase in many years but remember him well as a kid. He was full of energy, kind, thoughtful with a good sense of humor. Not a forgettable guy.
Peace and sympathy to family and friends.

Sad to hear of Chase passing. Growing up with Chase Greg Connie, the whole family was good. I never could get over his energy and joy every minute of the day.I was the youngest of five boys and Chase always included me, good heart. I really felt a joyous happiness reading about his giving to all he met. I was working the church bean supper about fifteen years ago and Chase recognized me and we had a nice visit. Thank you Chase.
