Roger, I saw a memorial window sticker with your name on it yesterday. I had no idea you had passed! We met the day before we went to Parris Island and instantly became great friends. We served together the entire time. You came out to Vinalhaven a number of times after we got out. You and I shared a lot of mischief and good times. You were a good heart, great person. I've missed you brother. We will meet again. Semper Fi.

Roger and I attended school together from kindergarten through high school. I hadn't seen him in about 30 years, but my husband Wayne did a few years ago. Roger attended Wayne's funeral a year ago and I can't believe he has now left us as well. I have so many wonderful memories from our childhood. He was a great friend then and it sounds from his obit that he never stopped. My condolences to all his family and friends.

Dear Cousin Roger, you are so loved and there is a place on this Earth that only you could have filled. You are now in your Heavenly place, the place where JESUS Himself said He was going to prepare for you. Apparently, your log cabin castle on the lake was ready for you.

My heartfelt lovingkindness to all Roger's immediate and extended family, as well as his precious friends.

Looking forward to the day we see each other again.

Love forever,

Tina Marie XOXO

You are in my prayers Roger. I am thankful to God for the merging of our paths at Edward Little. We were line mates and I enjoyed every shift. My heart is sad at your leaving, but my soul rejoices for you in Paradise. Be well my friend, Godspeed.

October 28, 2016 | Brigitte Laliberte - Belfair, Washington -- USA

I met Roger in 1984 when he dated my sister. Wow, that was 32 years ago now. Roger always made me laugh and I always felt good in his company. What a sense of humor! I really hope I did the same for him. I never spent a lot of time with Roger but loved him like I did. The last time we spent time together we went out for an ice cream and chatted on a warm summer's evening. I can still see us there in my mind's eye sitting on the swing.

Roger's smile came to mind when I first heard the news of his passing. I have missed and will miss that beautiful, beautiful smile and I will treasure my ice cream memory forever!

I love you Roger and I know that you are happy and safe where you are now, so see you again my friend when it is my turn to go to my palace in the sky. My sincerest condolences to friends and family for such an immense loss. My prayers are with you.

Brigitte Laliberte
