My sister will be greatly missed and I will remember her always as one who lived for her family.

As the "oldest" she took her role seriously and as the youngest, I benefited the most from her watchfulness.

She loved to tell the stories of how she was eighteen when I was born and how she practically raised me as she helped our mother with the rest of us.

It was with great sadness that I watched as she who always cared for others began to realize that she now needed others to care for her.

I know that this was difficult and she allowed it only when absolutely essential.

I pray that in the end, she was as well cared for as we all have been.

In addition to her own children and grand children, there are many who came into her home as foster children that she also showered with her love and agonized over when they were moved.

May the Lord now give her peace for the suffering.
