Gerry was my first "boss" following training with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.
During these formative years he provided me with basic skills and understanding to succeed in the food business. Even after those early years Gerry kept in contact with me and always was very supportive. Following his retirement he and his wife visited us in Puyallup Washington. As an example of his kindness he gave my family,our children were very young at the time,a season pass to Northwest Trek (an outdoor local animal inhabitant). In the years that followed we exchanged Christmas Cards and Gerry would always forward congratulatory notes as my AAFES career progressed. Gerry was a remarkable man...smart, supportive, enthusiastic and caring.
