Dr. Professor Elizabeth Benway,

You were an awesome professor. I hope you know students like me still think of you when delving into mathematics.

I remember your lively Mathematician hair do and fun way you taught with your own rhythm.

I can't remember our conversations but I do remember talking with you at the end of class on several occasions because you took the time to help me grasp statistics. I thank you for that.

I opened my old books again and there you were, not even in our book yet, I am refreshing myself in algebra. I remembered how sometimes we have to just believe a formula, and dissect it after if we must.

Thank you for all your help in building a solid foundation for learning and understanding mathematics.

I was hoping to find you for some insight on where I should look for a beginner's position in mathematics and to put you down as a reference (I still might and use my grade), in good faith that you would've been happy to help me explore the right position.

Because of you I have faith in my ability to do good works in the field of mathematics, should I find a good position to begin.

I hope you are enjoying the afterlife.

To her family, thank you for sharing her with us and I'm sorry for your loss. I wrote this to her but really for you guys, so you can see a fan letter.

Charlie and I were very sorry to read of Bette's passing. As you may recall, Dayton and Kathy, our family was in the babysitting co-op that Bette and Mary Huff set up. We just loved Bette's irreverant sense of humor. She was such an original and we will always have the fondest of memories of her. Very sorry for your loss. Charlie and Lenny
