Date of Birth: May 25, 1950

Biography:

Vicki D. (Roy) Wright, 74 of Auburn passed away peacefully on Sunday October 27, 2024. Vicki was born on May 25, 1950, in Farmington, the daughter of Joseph N. Toncer and Shirley L. (Young) Toncer. Vicki was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School class of 1969. She married Roger L. Roy of Livermore in August 1969, and in June 1970, their daughter Cathy was born.  On February 16, 2013, she married Olin P. Wright and they happily resided in Pensacola, FL until his passing.

Vicki worked a variety of jobs in her life. She was a waitress, a cashier/meat wrapper, a telephone operator, and Vicki was most proud of her job as an Executive Director for the American Cancer Society, raising money with her "teams" in parts of Androscoggin and Franklin counties.

Vicki was one of original EMT's with Turner Rescue when it began in 1975.  She was an integral part of the coimmittee that brought Motivational Speaker David Toma to Leavitt High School in the early 80's where he spoke to kids about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

Vicki loved all things theatre. For 20 plus years, she worked on many productions with Community Little Theatre in Auburn. This included costumes, make-up, securing props and even acting in a few productions like 12 Angry Jurors, Wizard of OZ and Fiddler on the Roof.  One of her most cherished memories was attending The Lion King on Broadway with a dear friend.

Vicki loved to sing and dance. She was quite the dancer, in particular the "Jitter Bug" that she would perform with friend Renaud Cyr in a traveling show that her mother Shirley produced. She and Roger loved going to the BQMC when their friends from Landslide would play. She was a member of the South Lewiston Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir.
Vicki enjoyed making jewelry, bookmarks and magnets. She loved to crochet especially dishcloths and scrubbies.  Family and friends got one or more of her crafts. During the holidays, she would make her "special Chex Mix" which was enjoyed by many.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Cathy A. Roy, her two sisters: Joy Toncer Lord and husband John, Jayne Toncer, an uncle Dr. Bruce Young. She also leaves behind three nieces, Jill Toncer, Kelsey Toncer and Julianne Doiron, nephew Scott Rowles, one grandnephew Jackson Joseph Parker as well as she was predeceased by both parents, sister Stephanie Hill and nephew Stephen D. Rowles.

Services will be Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 1:00pm, South Lewiston Baptist Church, Lewiston
