Scott Michael Vigue

Biography:

Scott Michael Vigue, age 57, of Auburn passed away from a heart attack on June 8th.

Scott was born in Lewiston on November 28th to Marilyn and Richard. Raised in Auburn, he was the third of four brothers. A long-time commercial fisherman off the coast of Portland, and owner of Lighthouse Drywall, Scott was a well-known personality in many communities. To those that knew and loved him, Scott was larger-than-life, and there will never be another man quite like him. 

He was effortlessly charming, extremely proud, and he could tell an epic story like no other. Love it or hate it, Scott did absolutely everything on his own terms, in his own way—and this was a part of what made him so deeply special. From fishing boats to pool halls to Yankee Swaps, you could always find Scott wearing tie-dye and ripped jeans, loudly telling off-beat jokes, and making lifelong connections with everyone he met.

Scott is survived by his mother Marilyn Binette, his father Richard Vigue and wife Susie, his step-dad Dick Desrochers, his daughter Elle Darcy and grand-daughter Lux Clementine, his brother Mark "Keko" Vigue, wife Pam, and niece Misty Jean, his brother Shawn Vigue and partner Holly, his brother Robert Vigue and partner Sue, his dear friend Debra Aube, and many more cherished family members, loved ones, and friends. Scott was predeceased by his grandmother Juliet Roy and his niece Sarah Vigue. 

A celebration of life will be held at the New Auburn Social Club with a spaghetti dinner on June 26th from 2-6pm. To honor Scott, please consider a donation to the Animal Refuge League in remembrance of his beloved Girldog.
