Biography:

Carmen Y Veilleux, 98, of Auburn, ME passed away April 11, 2024 at Hospice House in Auburn.  She was born to the late Ernest & Yvonne "Chouinard" Pleau on August 2, 1925. She was predeceased by husband Wilbrod J. Veilleux.

She is survived by sons Richard Veilleux of Manchester, NH, and Raymond Veilleux of Auburn, ME, a daughter Debbie Veileux Cookson of Raymond, NH.  Also surviving are granddaughters Raquel Veilleux, Wilton, ME and Renee Elwell, Turner, ME. along with grandsons Shawn Goughnour of Londonderry, NH and Chad Cookson and wife Melissa of Derry, NH and step granddaughters Tammy Morin of Dexter, ME and April Biron of Litchfield, NH. She has 6 great grandchildren, Aimee, Nicholas, Shauna, Jennie Rae, Prezley and Kinzley and 1 great granddaughter Mia Karmann as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind sisters in law  Jacqueline Pleau and Nora Pleau, and Brother in law Clarence Madore.

She was also predeceased by sisters Cecile, Yvonne and Jeannette, brothers Robert, Roland, Ernest and Raynald.

A graveside service will be held on May 8 at noon at the Maine Memorial Veteran Cemetery, Blue Star Road, Augusta.
