Biography:

Mary Geraldine Tims, born November 27, 1919, in Hartford, Connecticut, left this world peacefully to live with her Lord on November 22, 2019. She was the eldest child of Francesco Sorano of Montescaglioso, Italy and Maria Donata D'Anzi ofPietrapertosa, Italy. Mary grew up in Elmwood, CT. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, with many good friends.

She married Howard M. Tims of Dundas Ontario on July 20, 1940 in Hartford, CT For most of her life she lived in Avon, CT. where she raised her family. She worked for the Avon School Department for over 30 years. She moved to Brunswick, Maine in 1995 to be closer to her sons and their families.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Howard, brothers Rocco and Frank Sorano as well as her sister Anne Mead, all of Connecticut. She is survived by her sister Millie Rossi of Rocky Hill, her son Bill Tims and wife Melodie of Brunswick, ME, and son Jerry Tims and wife Brenda of Freeport, ME. She also left 4 grandchildren, Ben of Austin, Texas, Sarah of Whitefield, ME, Laura of Westbrook, ME, and Evan of New York City.

There will be a celebration of life held at on DeD'Esopo Funeral Chapel in Wethersfield, CT, Dcember 8, 2019 at 11 :00 AM. She will be interred by the side of her husband at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford , CT.
