Biography:

Winthrop – Andrea Lynn Thorne, known to many as “Missy”, of Winthrop, ME passed away on May 16, 2022 at the age of 51. She was born on November 9, 1970 in Ellsworth, ME to the late Linnie (Roberts) Pritchard and raised in Machias, ME by Douglas and Linnie Pritchard.

Andrea proudly earned her master’s degree in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Southern Maine in 2015. She worked for over 25 years as a Library Specialist for the University of Maine at Augusta and Bangor campuses where she made many dear friends. Additionally, Andrea believed in alternative healing and was a certified wellness advisor.

Andrea is survived by her father, Douglas, and sisters, Theresa Thorne, Renee Beal, Sheri Kane, LeAnn Whitney, and brother, Jason Pritchard. She loved and will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Corey, Codey, and Colby Hermanowski, Keanna and Tyler Beal, Nicholas Kane, Jovie Whitney, and Jackson and Delaney Pritchard. Andrea will also be deeply missed by her friends who are like family, Rachael Lowe and Toby Woodard.

Andrea is predeceased by her loving mother, Linnie, grandparents, Everett Roberts Sr. and Betty Roberts of Machias, and her adored cats, Misty and Opal.

A celebration of Andrea’s life will be Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Shindigs Event Center in Brewer, ME.
