Allan Tibby Thibodeau

Date of Death: February 26, 2017

Date of Birth: November 4, 1943

Biography:

Allan N. Thibodeau—Lisbon—Allan N. (Tibby) Thibodeau , 73 of Lisbon, died February 26 with his family by his side. He was born November 4, 1943, the son of Paul J. and Irene Gamache Thibodeau. He attended schools in Durham and Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1961. During high school he worked at Jimmy's Diner in Auburn. After high school he joined the Army and was stationed in Abilene, TX and Korea and was a member of the VFW Post 202. Working on and owning cars were always of great interest to him so his job at Bates and Cunningham as a mechanic for many years was perfect. From there, he ventured on his own as a self employed car dealer up until the time of his death. On August 7, 1981, he married the love of his life, Virginia (Ginny) Parker with whom he shared a wonderful life for 37 years. They spent much of their time together doing what they both enjoyed most, camping and fishing, especially in Jackman. They also enjoyed riding his motorcycles all over Maine and participated in the annual Toys for Tots as well as Stoney's Lobster Run. He was a lifetime member of the Saracen Motorcycle Club and spent a great deal of time with his brothers. Though he appeared to be a tough biker, he had a heart of gold and will always be remembered for his fancy tricks and sense of humor. Tibby is predeceased by his parents and sister, Paula T. Ginnett-Temple. Surviving are his wife, Ginny of Lisbon, sons, John A. Thibodeau of Lewiston, Jaime P. Thibodeau of Brunswick, daughter, Lisa Keathley of Brunswick, step-sons, Barry Ducharme of New Hampshire and Travis Ducharme of New Zealand, brother, Wayne G. Thibodeau and wife Ruthanne of Brunswick and sister, Lola I. Charron and husband, David of Topsham. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of his life on March 18 at 3 p.m. at the Saracen's Motorcycle Club, Route 4, Turner. Arrangements by Funeral Alternatives, Lewiston.
