Kathleen 'Kay' G. Stewart

Biography:
-Kathleen (Kay) G. Stewart 97, died Friday April 22nd at Lakewood Continuing Care in Waterville, where she had resided for the past 2.5 years.
She was born February 7th 1914 in Vassalboro, the daughter of Ross and Alice (Richardson) Gullifer.
Kay married Warren (Slim) Stewart on September 6th 1935.
She was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the Vassalboro Methodist Church for 83 years, where she had been superintendent of Sunday School and church secretary for many years.
Over the years Kay took care of many children, and was known to all as "Grammy Kay".
She enjoyed baking and making cakes, going to church and reading her bible, and spending time with friends and family. She loved everyone and was loved by all in return.
She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Merton, Elton and Ronald Gullifer. Her son and daughter in-law Willard and Nancie (Lewis) Stewart.
Kay is survived by her grandson William Stewart and his wife Bonnie of Wilmington, North Carolina. Her granddaughter Wendie (Stewart) Poulin and her husband Kris of Winslow, Maine. Two great-granddaughters Lauren and Candace Stewart of Wilmington, North Carolina, and one great-grandson Ross Poulin of Winslow, Maine.
A graveside service will be held at 10am, May 24th at Nichols Cemetery on Oak Grove Rd in Vassalboro, led by Jen Reed, a very special person to Kay.
Arrangements are under the direction of Funeral Alternatives of Augusta Maine.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lakewood (long term care) for loving her as their own.
