Biography:

N. Yarmouth-Edward M. Schumacher, Sr., 88, passed away peacefully at his home with the love & Dignity of his daughter and grandson, by his side.

Ed was a member of the Teamsters Local Union 340 for 33 years, working as a truck driver and foreman. He also drove in his earlier years for Greyhound bus service.

He had a huge love for all sports, especially his New England teams. Many times Ed would be hollering at the TV for the wrong plays or just routing for his team to win.

Ed was known in his earlier years as the neighborhood repairman fixing bikes, they always went to Ed's repair shop.

Everyone that Ed knew loved him, a man with a huge smile and hugs to give. A visit at the doctors office was not complete until the staff got their hugs.

He held a very strong place in his heart for his great grandchildren, Macen and Cammy who adored their papa.

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1955-1962, while stationed in Germany, met his wife Inge.

He was predeceased by his wife Inge Schumacher and a brother Richard Schumacher. Ed is survived by his children Peter Schumacher of Biddeford, Debbie Barker and husband Kevin of Florida, Eddie Jr., and wife Tammy of Topsham, Susan Bragg of York, Nancy Chenard and husband Bob of Biddeford, Laurie Coffin and husband Ray of N. Yarmouth, John Schumacher and wife Sue of Kentucky, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a niece and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Pierce and Dr. Craig Brett for the loving care provided to our father.

Per Ed's request their will not be any funeral services held. His only request was to have a drink of Crown Royal to celebrate his life.
