Randolph-Harriett A. Schmidt, 78, passed on October 20, 2021 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta.

She was born on April 21, 1943 in Bath the daughter of Linwood McNaughton and Mary Frances Hewey.

Harriett enjoyed knitting, cooking, being on the ocean, family gatherings, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Harriett worked as a Previous Trust Officer at Key Bank (formally Depositor’s Trust).  She was also the Co-Owner, with husband David, of the Weathervane Restaurant, Readfield  1982 – 1998 and Co-Owner, with husband David, of Hattie’s Chowder House, Hallowell  1999 - 2016.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Gloria I. Weeks, parents, Linwood and Mary Frances and a brother Arnold McNaughton.  Harriett is survived by husband, David L. Schmidt of Randolph,

step-daughter, Lisa Hicks and husband Terance Christopherson of Monmouth, step-son, Steven Schmidt and wife Teresa of Mt Vernon, grandchildren, Darren Hicks, Brianna Hicks, Charmian Christopherson, Karl Schmidt, and Nathan Weeks,

and siblings Brenda Dawbin and husband George, Edward McNaughton and wife Katie, Danny McNaughton and wife Liz, Ronald McNaughton and partner Joan Olsen, Lewis McNaughton and wife Irene, Paul McNaughton and wife Carlene,

and scores of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be planned for the Spring.
