Biography:

Muriel J. Sawyer, 88, of Lewiston, ended her life journey on Wednesday, March 21^st, 2018 at Russell Park Rehab and Living Center with her family at her side. She was born in Farmington, Maine on March 14^th, 1930 to parents Ruby Edwards and Louis Fish.

Muriel was a life-long member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Lewiston, Maine. She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, plastic canvas, word search books, and going to church. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Muriel worked as a mill worker, as a homemaker, and also worked several years in the shoe shop.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank C. Sawyer Sr.; two daughters, Joanne Berube and Shirley Sawyer; a son, Dennis L. Sawyer; both parents; brothers William and Harry Fish; and a sister, Betty Vallee.

Surviving her are sons Frank C. Sawyer Jr. of Pasadena Texas, Steven Sawyer of Lewiston, and Corey Sawyer and his wife, Lori of Sabattus; daughters, Robin St. Laurent of Lewiston, Joyce Lessard and her husband Robert of Greene; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and Brother Thomas Fish of Auburn.

A celebration of life and private burial will be held in the spring at the family plot in Poland.
