Biography:

Auburn- Lucienne Morin Lavertu Sarasin, 94, of Auburn, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 16, 2013 with her loving family by her side.

Lucienne was born in Auburn on Oct. 11, 1918, the daughter of Arsene and Odile (Michaud) Morin.  She married Roger Lavertu in 1940 and Fern Sarasin in 1975.  She worked at the Hill Mill until 1956, and also as a Sunday School teacher at First assembly from 1968 to 1988.  Lucienne was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Lewiston.

Lucienne was predeceased by her first husband, Roger Lavertu in 1969; her parents; sisters; Rose Guy, Bella Morin, and Vivian Thibeault, and brothers; Fern Morin, and Ronaldo Morin.

She is survived by her husband Fern Sarasin, children; Monique Levasseur, Roger Lavertu and his wife Diane, Aline Lavertu, Joe Lavertu, Joan Levasseur and her husband Donald, Rachel  Lavertu,  15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great- grandchildren, her brother Gerard Morin, and step-children Roger Sarasin and Linda Coffin .

There will be calling hours on Monday, May 20 from noon to 1pm at the First Assembly of God Church on the Hogan Rd. in Lewiston with the funeral service to follow the calling hours at 1pm.  Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, 70 Hogan Rd. Lewiston, Me 04240.
