Biography:

Robert A. Preo—Auburn—Robert A. Preo of Auburn died February 20, 2018 at home in Auburn following a battle with throat cancer. He was born in Lewiston on September 6, 1937 the son of George and Lucille Rivard Preo. Bob was educated in the Auburn Schools. In 1954 he joined the United States Air Force and served four years. He then joined the United States Navy and retired after twenty one years of service. While in the navy he was attached to a marine unit and served one year in Viet Nam as a field kitchen operator. He earned his GED and later attended college in Florida. Bob loved to sing and was known in the Karaoke Clubs. He is survived by a son, Kenneth Preo, a daughter Sharon Preo both of Lakeland, Florida, a sister Doris Walsh of Brookfield, Wisconsin and a very special aunt, Del of Auburn. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Diane Landry. Many thanks to his close support group, Cathy and Pete Waterman, Roger St. Pierre and Raymond Pelletier. Per his wishes there will not be any visiting hours or service. He will be interred at the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
