Biography:

Ronald Wayne Pomerleau, 74, of West Poland, died Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after a period of declining health. 

He was born January 28th, 1949 in Oxford, Maine, the son of Robert A. and Geraldine (Edwards) Pomerleau. He was educated in local schools and graduated in 1967 from Edward Little High School in Auburn. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1967 and served in West Germany, South Korea, and New Mexico.

He married Kathy Emery of West Poland in 1970 and they were married 51 years until her passing in 2021. Ron worked as a leather cutter in a number of L-A shoe shops until changing careers to become a long-distance truck driver. 

Ronald is predeceased by brothers Jerome and David Pomerleau

He is survived by his son James Pomerleau, his wife Betty Pomerleau of Hartford and children Dylan, Angelica, and Justin. His daughter Roni-Sue Vachon and her husband Dan Vachon of West Paris and children Evie and Cassadie. Ronald is also survived by his brothers Glen, Charles, and Robert Pomerleau Jr and sister Brenda Keech.
