Biography:

LEWISTON-Michel R. (Mike) Pelletier, 63, passed away on Sunday Jan. 23rd, 2022 at St. Mary's d'Youville Pavilion where he had been a patient for the past three years.

Mike was born in Lewiston on April 27th, 1958 to parents Fernand and Marie-Ange (Simoneau) Pelletier. He lived in Lewiston his whole life, attending local schools, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1976. Mike also attended Mid State College.

Mike was an avid sports fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins. He also loved going to watch the Portland Sea Dogs. He also enjoyed playing Yahtzee, cribbage, and golf in his spare time.

Mike worked various jobs in his lifetime, including BIW, Philips Elmet, Fleet Bank, and ran his own gift shop at the Promenade mall. He was especially proud to have worked for the Sun Journal as a motor route driver for 21 years without missing a day's work.

He is survived by his two sisters, Suzanne Pelletier of New Britain, CT., and Louise Casper (Bill) of Monmouth; his niece Amy Diggs (Jeremy) and their two daughters Jeri and Jordyn of Gastonia, NC and niece Dawn Feldman (Scott) of Auburn and a special great nephew Isaac Feldman of Auburn.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the 4 West Staff at d'Youville and to Androscoggin Hospice for their great care and compassion they gave him during his declining health.

A private family memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston in the spring.
