Biography:

Tammy S. Parkin, 61, of Wales Maine, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday December 19th, 2023. 

She was born in Augusta, on September 15th 1962, daughter of Amasa Hallowell and Berneita Hallowell (McNaughton). She grew up in Leeds Maine with her sister and brother. 

She was educated at local schools, graduating from Leavitt Area High School in 1981. She took classes at the University of Farmington, going on to work several jobs before finding her place at Tex Tech Industries. She worked there nearly 20 years where she made many friends, before retiring this year due to medical reasons.

She married the love of her life, Charles Parkin, on June 8th 1985. They shared 34 years of marriage before his untimely death. 

Tammy loved her family, especially her granddaughters. Anything that involved her family, you knew she'd be there! She especially loved going out for ice cream, going to movies and shopping trips. She loved to read or snuggle up with a cozy blanket and watch her reruns. She enjoyed going to the gym with her sons. She loved Christmas and was always singing a Christmas tune to her two special girls! 

She leaves behind her son, Jacob and wife Josephine Parkin of Winthrop, two beautiful granddaughters, Madison and Carmen; her son Jared Parkin of Wales. Her sister, Becky and husband Al Miner of Augusta; Brother, Greg and wife Debbie Hallowell of Auburn. Sister In Law, Leiarna Parkin and many Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews. 

She is predeceased by her mother and father, Amasa and Berneita Hallowell, as well as her husband Charles Parkin. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later time..
