Biography:
Andrew "Andy" James Palange passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025 with the love of his life and best friend by his side. He was born in Lewiston on November 4,1958 to the late James and Mary (Derzen) Palange. He was educated in Lewiston schools. One of his proudest accomplishments was graduating from CMCC with the highest of honors in the class of 2012.
He most enjoyed being at his computer where he excelled at becoming a political junky. He considered himself a mechanic and often helped with repairing care for people in the community. He loved family events with cookouts. He especially loved 4x4 wheeling adventures with his girls. He was extremely proud of his ability to customize his 1987 4x4 Jeep. It preformed so well rock climbing Streaked Mountain and the mountains of Bethel ME.
One of his greatest joys in his later years was his role as grandfather/friend to Carter and Carley Henderson of Auburn, and Ben and Jon Hawkins of Nebraska.
Andy is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Susan Violette Palange, 2 daughters whom he lovingly cherished Angela Palange of Monongahela, PA, and Jessica Palange of Taylor, Texas and a special mention to their mom Susan Pyrdeck, and surviving brother Marius Palange. Extended family daughter Kelly Henry and husband Chris, son Dan Brown and wife Wendy both from Auburn. Granddaughter Ashley Hawkins and husband Pastor Richie of Papillion, Nebraska. Granddaughter Amber Henderson of Auburn, grandson Dan Millett and wife Alyssa of Litchfield. Grandsons Ethan, Austin, Olivia from Auburn. Brother David Violette and wife Kristina of Lewiston, brother Gary Violette and wife Barbie of Auburn. Sister Gail Collidge and husband Chuck from Mechanic Falls.
He is predeceased by his father James Elwyn Palange, mother Mary (Derzen) Palange, brother Julian Palange, extended family Steve Violette, and Sandra Gammon.
