Athala C. Overholser

Biography:

Lewiston-  Athala C. Overholser, 91, died on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at Montello Manor in Lewiston.

Athala was born in Lewiston on April 05, 1921, the daughter of Leda and Appolinaire’ (Jutras) Cote.

Athala and her husband worked as house parents in Schools for the deaf.  She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading and travel. She was a communicant at St. Louis Parish in Auburn.

She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, and six sisters.

She is survived by her husband Charles Overholder, sister-in-law Connie Cote, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sarah Frye Home and also the Rev. Roger Cousineau and his wife Barbara for their loving care for Athala.
