Biography:
Paul Nevel—Andover—Paul Nevel, 90 of Andover, Maine passed away at the Hospice House in Auburn on February 11. He was born on March 27, 1926 in Chesterville, to Susan Farrington and Wallace "Dick" Nevel. Paul served in WWII and went on "Honor Flight" last October. He was a Maine Guide and an avid sportsman. He owned and operated Nahmakanta Lake Wilderness Camps in Millinocket with his wife of 57 years and children, as he said, he lived like an Indian in the woods. Paul loved hunting and fishing and trapped with his team of huskies. He loved gardening and reading and could identify every bird call. Paul was predeceased by his wife Frances and daughter Tanya Lee. He leaves behind four children, Bruce and Pamela Gilbert Nevel of AZ, Barry and Robin Nevel of Bethel, Kerry and Rowena Nevel of FL and favorite daughter, Lana of Andover, 5 grandchildren, Jen, Jill, Jasmine, Ryan and Kwailan, 8 great grandchildren, Isaac, Aaron, Collin, Carter, Jordan, Grayson, Chloe Marie and Camden. The snow moon rising on this cold, cold night. A total lunar eclipse is now in plain sight. The new year comet races through the sky of course this was the night dad said good-bye. There will be a graveside service in the spring for both Paul and Frances Nevel. Arrangements by Funeral Alternatives, Lewiston.
