Biography:

Elsa Tilde Musciano, 83, of Rochester, NY,  most recently residing in Portland, passed away November 4th, 2010 in the peaceful surrondings of  The Hospice House in Auburn, ME, following a brief illness.

Elsa was born to Viola and Antonio Tomino on March 8th,  1927 in Casalbordino Italy.  She grew up learning the art of raising a family and learning the trade of  a seamstress from her mother and father who was a professional tailor.  She shared many childhood memories from Italy including what it was like during World War II.   In 1950 she  wed  Giulio Musciano of Giulianova Italy.  In 1960 they immigrated to the United States with their first two children settling in Rochester, NY.

Her life was marked by selfless dedication to faith and family. Elsa was the quintessential Italian mother/grandmother who had much pride in her cooking. She loved  teaching her grandchildren how to prepare her many recipes. Her homemade pasta was a family favorite. A devout Catholic, she prayed the Rosary often.  Her devotion to family and friends was reflected in her roles as wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.

Her husband,  Giulio, predeceased her as did her younger brother, Jan Tomino of Rochester, NY.  She is survived by children Paola and Thomas Bellows of  New Smyrna Beach,  FL,  Frank and Dana Musciano of Falmouth, ME,  Giulio and Darlene Musciano of Coconut Creek, FL.  Also by grandchildren Michael and Kevin Bellows, Nicholas , Cara and John Musciano, Daniel  and Leah Musciano.  She is also survived by her sisters Tecla (John) Cieri of Rochester, NY , Lillian (Ronald) Lent of Seattle, WA  and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family extends sincere gratitude to all who reached out to Elsa at The Cedars, The Woods at Canco and at The Hospice House.
