Biography:

TOPSHAM - Mearle Lee Mucica passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2015, at Bodwell House in Brunswick. She was born May 3, 1920 in Vancouver, British Columbia the third child of Roy and Janet (Eliot) Lee.

Lee attended schools in Seattle, Wash. and for a time worked for Boeing Aircraft during WWII. In 1943 she married Steve Mucica and moved to Little Falls, N.Y. She was a housewife until 1958 when her family moved to Lynnfield, Mass. Lee and Steve moved to Topsham, Maine in 2003 and Steve passed away later that year. For a time she volunteered at the Hawthorne House in Freeport. For twelve years she lived with her beloved golden retriever, Annie, on Arbor Avenue.

Lee was an active sports booster and loved to collect antiques. She and her husband of sixty years, Steve, traveled to Europe on numerous occasions.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sisters Evelyn and Eunice, her brother Douglas, and husband Steve.

Lee is survived by her step daughter Marilyn Wood and husband Harold of Whitesboro, N.Y.; her son Steve and wife Lucette of Richmond, ME.; her son Dana and wife Carol of Harpswell, ME., seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in the Brunswick area at a time and place to be announced.
