Biography:

Robert Russell Morrell, 68, of Turner, ME, passed away peacefully on Friday evening surrounded by family. "Bob," as he was called by those who knew him, was an accomplished and respected sportsman who proudly served his country as a decorated Marine Lance Corporal during the Vietnam War. Bob was a lifelong truck driver with almost as many awards for his skills behind the wheel as miles he logged in his career. He had endless, colorful stories of his life growing up on his parent's farm, where he got his love and skill of gardening, his adventures on the road, and his most favorite kinds of tales, those of "the big one," as he fished and hunted his way through the wilds of Maine. Bob always had a smile and a listening ear, and sound advice and a guiding hand for his friends and family and was beloved by all who had the honor of knowing him. Bob is survived by his wife, Diana Morrell, his mother, Patricia Morrell, 2 brothers, Raymond and Warren Morrell, 3 sisters, Kathleen McGuire, June VanMourik, and Ruth Morrell, 3 children, Hope and Del Dunn, Megan Morrell, and Adam Morrell, 3 stepchildren, Chris Reynolds, Casey Reynolds, and Chantal and Ray St Laurent, 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several lifelong friends who were very near and dear to his heart. Services to celebrate the life of this amazing man will be held Saturday, 06/11/2016, at noon, at Bob's home at 619 East Hebron Road in Turner, ME. All are welcome.
