Biography:
Lewiston-Gloria E. Morlock, 85 years, of Northern Ave. Auburn, died on August 8, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital after a short illness.
She was born on December 24, 1924 to Dorothee Houle Pelletier and Esdras Pelletier in Lewiston, Maine.
In her younger years she was an avid bowler and a member of a bowling league.
Gloria enjoyed raising her six children and being involved with their activities over the years. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, bowling, quilting for all her family members. Through out her life she enjoyed volunteering as a military wife making care packages for the soldiers oversees, she made quilts/blankets, food packages for those less fortunate, and was involved helping where needed at the Red Cross.
During WW2 she worked at the Pentagon where she met her husband. Gloria worked over the years at various jobs such as a shoe stitcher, Geiger brothers, Paragon glass, as well as a Mother and Wife.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband Philip Morlock. She is survived by
Her children and spouses: Helen and Charlie Buzzell of Industry, Robert Morlock and Carmen Cook of Sesastian, Florida, John and Serina Morlock of Germany, Paul and Sue Morlock of Lisbon Falls, Richard Morlock of Auburn, and Donald Morlock of Portland, grandchildren: Sheri Barich, Chris Buzzell, Michelle Patty, Jon Cook, Johnnie Wang, Michael Morlock, Maia Morlock, Stephanie Stetson, Philip Morlock, Rider Morlock, great grandchildren: Abigail, Stacia, Madeleine, Tessa Rose, Brian, sister Muriel Bosse of Lewiston, nephews Roger Bosse, Normand Bosse
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 12th from 7 to 9pm at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, August 13th at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Auburn. Burial will take place at the Fr. LeClair Maine Veterans Cemetery Civic Center Dr. Augusta on Tuesday, Augusta 17th at noon.
