Biography:

Sally Y. Moore—Lewiston—Sally Y. Moore, 82, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully January 19, following a short illness. She was born in Madawaska, Maine on November 21, 1934 to the late Suzanne and Tony Leclair. Sally was educated in Cumberland at Greely High School before graduating at Lewiston High School in 1953. She enjoyed socializing by spending time with her coffee buddies and family, dinners at Gipper's and loved country music. She was a wonderful homemaker and friend and was a strong and independent woman. Young at heart, Sally took great pride in taking good care of herself and dressing stylishly. Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Carter and husband Chuck, Cindy Pea and her husband Bob and Gail Spugnardi, her one sister Charlene Hall and brother-in-law Fred, grandchildren, Chris Bigelow, Melissa Paradis, Kelsie Paradis, Chad Paradis, Ashley Harbin and Zoe'anna Carter. She also leaves behind six great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at D'Youville Pavilion and Androscoggin Homecare and Hospice for their amazing care. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 25 from 4-7 p.m. at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa Street, Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 26 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 16 Ste. Croix Street, Lewiston. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Switzerland Road, Lewiston.
