Biography:

Ann Marie Micklon, 49, of Augusta, died on Monday, Sept. 29, at the Hospice House in Auburn.

She was born in Norway, Oct. 3, 1964, the daughter of Yvonne B. Micklon and Gerald A. Micklon. Ann Marie attended Oxford Hills High School in South Paris. On Aug. 21, 2009, Ann Marie married Jeffery Thomas in an outdoor ceremony at Reid State Park in Georgetown.

Ann Marie was happiest when around and on the water or camping, with her husband, Jeff. Ann Marie had completed a family history from both her mother's and father's side of the family.

Ann was an accomplished artist with charcoal sketching along with doing cross-stitch in her free time. Ann was happiest spending time with her pet dogs, cats and taking care of her fish aquarium.

As a teenager, she was a waitress at Barjo’s Restaurant in Norway, and most recently at Rebecca’s Restaurant in Augusta.

She is survived by husband, Jeffery Thomas of Augusta; her mother, Yvonne B. Micklon of Norway; brother, Michael J. Micklon of Norway; aunt, Carol Ann Guay of Greene; and great-aunt, Helen Seward of Buffalo, N.Y.

She was predeceased by her father, Gerald A. Micklon; maternal grandparents, Roland and Rita Patry; and paternal grandparents, Clarence and Elizabeth Micklon.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at Lake View Cemetery in Norway.
