With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Courtney Leigh McKay, a cherished daughter, devoted mother, loving sister, and adored aunt, who left this world far too soon, after her fierce battle with cancer, on April 13, 2025.
Born on December 10, 1989, Courtney brought light and warmth into the lives of everyone she touched. Her kind heart, infectious laughter, and fierce love for her family defined her in every way. She was a nurturing and devoted mother who gave her all to her children, always putting their happiness above her own. As a sister and aunt, she was a trusted confidante, a source of endless support, and the one who could always lift spirits with a smile or a joke.
Courtney's strength, compassion, and unwavering love will leave a lasting impact on all who knew her. Though her time here was short, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved so deeply.
She is survived by her children; Cloey, Gabrielle & Parker; her mom, Susan Whetsel and husband Carl of Oklahoma; her dad Charles “Chuck” McKay and wife Beverly of Greene, sisters Catie Cook and Rachel McKay of Oklahoma, brother Colby McKay of Durham, many “bonus children” including Charlie and Madi, and countless other family and friends who will forever carry her memory.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  All who loved her are welcome to attend and share memories.
Rest in peace, Courtney. You will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure.
