Jacqueline M. Mathieu—Lewiston—Jacqueline M. Mathieu 81, of Montello Heights passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018. She was born on October 1, 1936 in Lewiston, the daughter of Romauld and Imelda Bilodeau Samson. Jacqueline worked at Clark Shoe, the Multi Purpose Center and St. Mary's Hospital. On June 30, 1956 she married Gerard A. Mathieu. She was a member of Holy Cross Church in Lewiston. Jacqueline was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Gerard, Her brother, Fernand Samson and her sister Fleurette Rioux. She is survived by her son Larry Mathieu and his wife Diane; two daughters, Linda Caouttte and her partner Steve Roy, and Tina Carrier and her husband Andre; six grandchildren Jonathan Mathieu and wife Sandra, Brianna Bourgeois and her husband Richard, Justin Caouette and his partner Krista Laverdiere, Dustin Carrier and his wife Sheena, Devin Carrier and wife Whitney and Mariah Carrier, great grandchildren; Richard Bourgeois Jr., Sophie Bourgeois, Emily Caouette, Declan Carrier and Everly Carrier. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 26 from 5-7 p.m. at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa Street, Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 27 at 11a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 16 St. Croix Street, Lewiston. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Maine Memorial Veteran's Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.
