Biography:

• Roger E. Martineau—Lewiston—Roger E. Martineau, 81 of Lewiston died Sunday, October 29 at a Lewiston nursing facility. He was born January 7, 1936 in Waterville the son of Elzear and Helen Goulet Martineau. Roger graduated from Lewiston High School Class of 1954 and attended American College in Pennsylvania. He was employed for Boston Mutual, Metropolitan Life and American Mutual for many years. Later he worked for the US Postal Service in Vero Beach, Florida. Roger was a life member of the Elks Lodge in Vero Beach as well as the Elks Lodge in Lewiston for 17 years. Roger was predeceased by his brother Gordon Martineau, brothers-in-law, George Young, Glorio Paquette and Gerard LaCour and a sister-in-law, Jeannine Lacour. Survivors include his wife Geneva Saucier Martineau of Lewiston, 2 sisters, Jeannine Maliar of Connecticut and Irene Gosselin of Westchester, PA and sisters-in-law Lorraine Young of Lewiston, Floret Paquette of Sabattus and Lydia Martineau of Lewiston. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 3 at 11 a.m. at the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul, 122 Ash Street, Lewiston.
