Marie Rose Claudia Marcellino

Biography:

Marie Rose “Claudia” Marcellino, 78 passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 with her loving husband by her side.

 

She was born on 3-31-38 in Lewiston ME, a daughter of Mugeutte LeVasseur Guay & she attended local schools in Rumford , receiving her GED in 1978.

 

On August 24, 1957, she married Robert Marcellino & lived in California for many years where they raised their 2 daughters.  They decided in 1974 to move back to Rumford Maine & start their own business.  They opened a neighborhood store & called it Bob’s Kwik Stop.  Claudia became known as Mrs Bob’s Kwik Stop.  She enjoyed crocheting & knitting, watching ‘all ‘ sports with Bob, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren.

 

Claudia is survived by her loving husband Robert of 59 years, 2 daughters, Karen Gurschick & her husband Kirby, Maria Merrill & her husband Kerry.  4 grandchildren, Andrew Gurschick &  his partner Scott Kingan, Matthew Gurschick, Kassie Olver & her husband Bill, Cory Merrill & his wife Danielle.  2 great grandchildren, Lilyahna Gurschick & Finley Merrill.

 

Claudia was predeceased by her 6 siblings, Gabrielle, Vivian, Roland, Paul, Gertrude, & Reginald.

 

Thank you to Dr DeLuca & Rumford Hospital for caring for Mom for over 20 years.

 

Per Claudia’s request there will be no service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dempsey organization in Lewiston ME in her memory.
