Biography:

GREENE — Joseph "Joey" Fred Mann, 46, of Dixfield lost his life Sunday, Feb. 12, in a snowmobile accident.

He was born May 6, 1965, in Greene, the son of Elsworth and Joyce Mann. As a young boy, he moved to Peru to live with his foster parents Ernest and Joyce Roy.

At the age of 18, Joey moved to Dixfield with his good friends Paul and Darlene Mease. He loved animals, the outdoors, cutting firewood, racing events and fishing.

A jack-of-all-trades, Joey worked around the area for many farmers. He was a hard worker. His heart was pure and true. A devoted son, he always maked time to visit his mom, Joyce.

Joey's passion was snowmobiling. As he stated to his good friend, Steve,"I live to ride," and that he did.

Survivors include his parents; good friend, Darlene Mease; brothers, Michael Mann, Bruce Quartroicchi and William Stratton; and nieces, nephews and many friends

We send a heart felt thank-you to Dave Chabot, and the Maine Wardens and Forest Service, Androscoggin Sheriff's Department, Lewiston Snowmobile Club, Hillside Family Club and all others involved in bringing Joey home.

A memorial Service will be Sunday, Feb. 19, at 2pm, at the Dixfield Congregational Church.
