Jeannine A. Lambert

Date of Death: February 10, 2024

Date of Birth: December 28, 1932

Biography:

Jeannine A. Lambert, 91, passed away on February 10, 2024 at her home, with loved ones by her side, after a short illness.  She was born on December 28, 1932 in Lewiston, the youngest child of Paul and Leona Michaud.  She lived all of her 91 years in Lewiston.

Jeannine worked in the office at Bates Mill and then for many years at the Holy Cross School cafeteria, when all the food was made from scratch.  She very much enjoyed this job and the ladies she worked with there.  Jeannine then spent many years taking wonderful care of her grandchildren and a great-grandchild, making it easier for their parents to work without worry.  She was never idle and always so full of energy, right up until the last few months of her life.  She was a very kind and generous soul who was always aware of the needs of others and spent her lifetime displaying that kindness and generosity to family, friends and strangers alike, without hesitation.

She enjoyed playing beano and cards.  She loved her apartment at Oak Park where she had many friends who she enjoyed baking for, especially her banana bread.

Jeannine married Bob Lambert on September 5, 1953 at St. Mary’s Church in Lewiston.  She took wonderful care of him throughout their marriage and throughout his many health issues during the last few years of his life.

Jeannine is survived by her three children, Sue Sliger (Don), Dee Beaudoin (Dan) and Paul Lambert (Teri), her grandchildren, Erica Payne (KC), Chad Soule, Cassidy Delcourt (Zack), and Tucker Beaudoin (Sydney), and three great-grandchildren Chance Soule and Maizie and Ozzie Delcourt.

Jeannine was predeceased by her husband, her parents, her brother Bertrand Michaud and her sister Rita Michaud.

There will be a Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church, in Lewiston, on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
