Biography:
Roland Roger Kirouac, 82, of Canton died on February 13, 2024 at home peacefully with his family by his side.
Roland was born on February 11, 1942 in Lewiston, ME. He spent the majority of his career driving tractor trailer trucks across the country. He loved life on the road, meeting new people, and experiencing new places. Roland drove trucks until the age of 79 with his beloved dog Lucky by his side.
After retirement he moved back to Maine settling in Canton where he met his "true love" Kathy Hutchins. He enjoyed his retirement by spending time with his family and friends, gardening, and tinkering around the house. He was an avid NASCAR fan and also loved watching Sunday football games on t.v.
He was predeceased by his parents Roland and Celicle Kirouac and his son Mark Kirouac.
He is survived by his daughter Donna Kirouac, partner Mike Simpson and granddaughter Olivia Simpson. Daughter-in-law Carmen Cote, husband Dan Cote. Grandaughter Kymberly Roberge, husband Adam Roberge and two great-grandchildren Brylee and Corbin Roberge.
A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful staff at Androscoggin Hospice for the tender loving care they provided.
A private service will be held at a later date for family and close friends.
