Date of Death: January 31, 2024

Date of Birth: September 30, 1971

Biography:

LEWISTON - Ronald Roland Keene, Sr, 52, a lifelong resident of Auburn, Maine, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at CMMC surrounded by his family as they sang him into heaven, to be reunited with his parents, and brothers. Ron was taken ill with covid in 2022, and although he miraculously recovered, his health was tremendously affected.  Recently he was suddenly taken sick again with COVID, however this time his body was too sick to fight it and God took him home.

He was born on September 30, 1971, in Lewiston, the son of Harold Keene, Sr. and Jeanne (Beaulieu) Keene. Ron was educated in Auburn schools.  He married Christy Barry on October 21, 2000 in Auburn, Maine and together they raised five children in Auburn.  Ron attended Anchor Baptist Church, in Auburn.  He was employed with Hudson Bus Line where he drove a school bus for Lewiston for sixteen years.  He loved driving a school bus, his bus kids and the people he worked for so much that after his first fight with COVID, he returned to work part-time. His hobbies included racing games, watching YouTube videos, fishing, and working in his yard. It also gave him great joy to help anyone in need.

Ron is survived by his wife Christy, his five children, Natascha, Ronald Jr, Shawna, Amanda and Faith, his two grandsons, Kalib and Kolby, whom he absolutely adored and loved. He is survived by his siblings, Mary, Theresa, Donald, Linda, James, Susan and Danny, his older siblings, Peggy, Eleanor, Jeannie, Pat, Carol, Karen, Lawrence, Dennis and Brenda. He also leaves behind many other extended family, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and so much more including many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; his grandmother, Eveline Beaulieu, his siblings, David, Randy, Edi, Flo, Dottie, Harold Jr, Clyde and Phyllis.

A celebration of his life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 20 No Main St, Turner on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Visitation will be at 10:00 am with the service to follow at 11:00 am.

Due to Ron's extended illness, many hospital stays, and due to his disability which came from COVID, in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the GoFundMe to help support his wife Christy with Ron's funeral expenses and her upcoming financial needs.   https;//gofund.me/967a7bed
