Biography:

LEWISTON-Monique Lena Jalbert, 91, of Auburn, Maine passed away on March 20, 2022 at St. Mary's with her family by her side.

She was born on Sept. 16th, 1930 in Amesbury, MA to parents Leo and Ernestine (LaChance) Boucher

Monique loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping trips to Walmart, and going out to eat seafood. She also liked to crochet, cook, and play cribbage.

Monique worked in the local Lewiston/Auburn area shoe shops. She was an integral part of the lives of her family and friends. When she was no longer working, she was taking care of her children, grandchildren, and neighbors' children.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Jalbert; a son, Roger Dumont; a daughter, Florence Dumont; a step-son Bob Fleury; and a great granddaughter, Adalyn Murphy.

Surviving her are four children, Robin and her husband Dana Murphy; Mary Jane Allen and her partner Dalmane Reid, Linda Dumont, and Bob Jalbert and his wife Lisa; a brother, Maurice Boucher and his wife Dot; 19 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; and many neices and nephews.

A burial with graveside committal services will be held at a later date at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 980 Turner St. Auburn, Maine 04210
