Biography:

Carole Ann (McKeague) Huntington (85) of Auburn passed away peacefully on January 12, 2022. She was the daughter of Harry and Edna (Thomas) McKeague, born on May 11, 1936. She was raised in Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1954. She married Leonard Huntington (Slim Andrews) in 2002 and from that point on they were inseparable. Their devotion to each other and the love they shared was rare. Their bond could not be broken, and he joined her on the path of their eternal journey a few days later.

Carole was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, State of Maine and was an active member of Westbrook Memorial Post 197 Auxiliary for many years. She was also the Treasurer and Director of the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum. She dedicated many hours over the years in support of our veterans and the country music industry in the state. She also was an active committee member for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events in years past.

Carole is survived by her sons Scott MacDonald and wife Liz of Rangely and Shawn MacDonald and wife Kimberly of Auburn, grandsons Mathew, AJ, and Opie and granddaughter Meghann, step-children Daniel and wife Margie, Tracy McCrillis and husband Bruce, Jamie and wife Suzy, Joan Austin, Eliza Fulton and husband David, Susan Fraser and husband Alan, Robert Eaton, daughter-in-law Lynn Huntington, and “adopted” son Harold Baily and wife Debbie, three generations of grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her son Stephen MacDonald and sisters Marion, Harriet, and Barbara.

Per her request, there will be no visiting hours. A private graveside service will be held in the Spring.
