Biography:

Marguerite L. Holbrook—Auburn—Marguerite L. Holbrook, 81 of Auburn died Friday, March 17 at Hospice House in Auburn. She was born on September 25, 1935 in Auburn, a daughter of Lawrence and Rose Hilt Weston. Marguerite was a volunteer for the American Heart Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bingo, dining out, spending time at the ocean and traveling to Florida. Marguerite ran a daycare for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard H. Holbrook, sister, Ruth Woodworth, niece, Betty Mariner and granddaughter Bonnie Torsey. Survivors include three sons, William Holbrook and wife Jackie of Greene, Lawrence Holbrook and wife Cindi of Auburn, Jonathan Holbrook of Lewiston, three daughters, Sandra Hiscock and husband Carlton of Turner, Judy Charest and husband Richard of Norway and Sally Pelton of Greene, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff at Bolster Heights for their attention to our mom's needs over many years and also our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hospice House for their gentle kindness and superb care. A memorial service will be held at Gracelawn Memorial Park Chapel, Turner Street, Auburn on Friday, March 24 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Hospice House, 236 Stetson Road, Auburn, ME 04210.
