Biography:

Norma Elaine Gordon Hawkes, 81 of Fayette and New Gloucester Maine, passed away on March 13th 2019 peacefully with family by her side. She was born on January 27th 1938 to Norman E. Gordon and Mildred E. Gordon. Norma lived life to the absolute fullest from becoming a Nurse at a young age, living all over the US and Hawaii before settling into farm life in New Gloucester with her three children, during this time she met her soulmate and Husband Charles P. Hawkes. She worked at Memorial school as a secretary for many years before opening a long standing children’s Daycare. Eventually she and Charles retired to Fayette.

Norma had a great amount of passion for animals, raising and training many types especially horses.

Norma had a great abundance of love for all the people in her life especially her Family. She always had a special way to make memories magical.

Norma was predeceased by her parents Norman and Mildred Gordon, Daughter and son in law Elizabeth and David Chabe. Norma is survived by her Husband Charles, daughter Rebecca Hixon and husband Tom, son Donald Colbath and wife Nina, Eleven Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren, as well as many other loved ones.
