SABATTUS - Michelle L. (Carey) Hamel, 43, of Sabattus, passed away unexpectedly at home, Aug. 1, 2018.
Michelle attended Maranacook Community High School. Michelle enjoyed spending time with her significant other, "Dean", and her pets at home, playing pool, riding on a motorcycle and spending time socializing with family and friends. She had worked for John Murphy Homes in Lewiston, taking care of children with disablities. "Shell" had a zest for life and lived life to the fullest.
Daugher of Alice, and stepfather, Richard McKenney of Augusta, Richard Carey and his significant other, Linda Fluker of Sabattus. Sister, Lisa Sparrow and her significant other, Ray Holman, of Augusta; brother, John Carey and his significant other, Mary Haskell of Portland; sister, Lori and Scott Mairs of Oakland; Michelle's significant other of 14 years, Richard Dean of Sabattus. Nieces and nephews, Courtney, Zachary, Katelin, Christopher and great-niece, Sophia.
She had three beloved pets, "Buns", her rabbit, her dogs, Shyann and Khloe, who she loved very much.
There will be a service and celebration of life held Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, 11 a.m., at Manchester Lions Club, Clubhouse Road, Manchester.
