Constance Walker Ham

Biography:

Constance Walker Ham passed away November 24, 2010 at Hill House Assisted Living in Bath, Maine after a long illness.  She was 90 years old.

“Connie” was born May 13^th 1920 in Oxford, Maine. She was the daughter of Guy and Ethel Walker.

She studied to become a nurse, however left to marry Delbert Ham in 1942 before he left for war. After the war they made their home in Boothbay Harbor where they raised four children and lived for most of their married life.  Connie devoted most of her life being a wife, mother and homemaker.

She and her husband moved to Topsham in 1998 to live with their daughter Susan and her husband Steve. At this point in her life she enjoyed scrape booking with family photos, old and new.

She resided at Hill House in Bath the last few months of her life where she was cared for with great love and dignity by the compassionate staff.

She was pre deceased by her husband Delbert and a son William.

Connie is survived by 3 children, Susan Ham and her husband Stephen Garde of Topsham, Stephen Ham and his wife Tina of Boothbay, Rebecca Bickford and her husband Bruce of Lisbon Falls, grandchildren Robbie, Katie and Heidi, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.

The family wishes to thank Deb O’Neill, R.N. and Brenda O’Neal, R.N. of Chans Home Health and Hospice for their loving attention to our mother.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to “Hill House Employee’s Fund”, or Chans Home Health and Hospice:
