Biography:

Robert W. Hall, 63, of Brook St. went home to be with his Lord and Savior, unexpectedly, surrounded by his family and friends, on December 26, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston.

He was born on May 5, 1946 in Staten Island, N.Y. the son of Percy and Lillian (Payne) Hall.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, giving and helping others in need, volunteering, music ministries, his Romanian Missionary trips to share the gospel through music and giving of himself, and taking care of people with disabilities. Bob was also known for his thoughtfulness, loving ways, and random acts of kindness.

Bob was a wonderfully talented singer and musician.  He taught himself to play the piano by ear, later learning how to read sheet music, perfecting his skills.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lewiston. He played the organ & piano for the church for almost 35 years. He also enjoyed teaching Sunday school, volunteering for many church functions, and was the minister of the nursing home music ministries in the Lewiston - Auburn community.

Bob dedicated many years of his life providing loving care to people with developmental disabilities, at Pineland Center, John F. Murphy Homes, Social Learning Center, and Lutheran Social Services.

He was predeceased by his parents and first wife Phyllis (Moriarty) Hall.  Bob is survived by his wife Sandi Hall of Sabattus, sons Robert Hall Jr. and wife Karen of Sabattus, Richard Hall of Lewiston, daughter Thereasa Pietrowicz and fiancée Michael Downes of Sabattus, step children Douglas Pepe and  wife Sheila of Illinois, Lisa Bartholemew and husband Raymond of Massachusetts, his sister Grace O’Keefe and husband Al of Lisbon and all of their adult children Albert, Danny, Michael, Colleen, Kathy, Dennis and their respective families, grandchildren Samantha, Joshua, Jennifer, “Poppa’s boy” David, step grandchildren Jonathan, Todd, Christopher, Tiffany Lynn, and his four beloved dogs Lucy, Sadie, Ellie, and Lester.

A memorial gathering will take place on Wednesday, December 30th from 11:30 to 12:30 with a service commencing at 12:30 at the First Assembly of God Church, 70 Hogan Rd. Lewiston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Assembly of God Church of Lewiston.
