Robert William Gordon

Biography:

Portland- Robert William Gordon, 69, of Readfield died on August 24^th, 2010 at Maine Medical Center, in Portland, after a brief illness.

Robert was born in Gardiner on February 4^th, 1941, the son of Anne (Thomas) Gordon and Robert N. Gordon.

 Robert attended Gardiner High School and had a Degree in Electronics. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service and most recently he worked for Dupont Auto Service in Dover, NH for 17 years.  He enjoyed playing with his dog Shantay, gardening and working around the house.  He also enjoyed helping others in need.

Robert was predeceased By   His dad Robert N. Gordon and a Nephew Joe (Brother) Lemar.

He is survived by his wife Lois Ann (Hustus) Gordon, mother Anne V. Gordon of Augusta, brothers; Daniel and wife Pam of Windsor, William and wife Carol of Winthrop, Ronald and wife Margaret of Norridgewock, Leon of Litchfield, sisters; Judith (Gordon) and husband Mel of Canaan, Barbara (Gordon) Thompson of Somersworth, NH; his Aunt Florence (Thomas) Witham and his dog Shantay. He also was Uncle Pops to many nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Gardiner on Sept. 3^rd, 2010 at 2 PM
