Biography:
Lewiston – Adrian C, Giasson, 89, of Lisbon, passed away peacefully with family by his side at Russell Park Center in Lewiston.
Adrian was born, May 9, 1926 in Auburn, the son of Edward and Lizianne Giasson. He finished the 8th grade and worked at Bates Mill until he entered the U.S. Army on October 16, 1944 and served until 1964 in the Luzon Philippine Islands where he was in combat. He received the Philippines Liberation Ribbon, WWII Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal as well as a Good Conduct Medal.
Upon leaving the service Adrian married his former wife Dorothy Raymond and they had two sons, Richard and Larry. He moved to Connecticut and worked there as a chef. He enjoyed going to Oxford Plains Speedway and eating breakfast at Mc Donald’s in Lisbon.
Adrian is survived by a sister Henriette Bergeron of Lewiston, a brother Raymond of North Carolina his two sons Richard and fiancée Sherly of Bridgton and Larry and wife Trudy of Sumner, a niece Claire Tremaine who took care of him for the past four years , 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Adrian was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Ann Bussiere, and 4 brothers; Armand, Robert, Maurica and Andre.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the entire staff at Russell Park Center for the compassion and devotion to Adrian’s care in his final hours.
A Memorial Service will held on Thursday , January 14 at 2pm at Funeral Alternatives 25 Tampa St. Lewiston, ME . Services are under the care of Funeral Alternatives.
