Biography:

Augusta, ME- Carolyn Ann Gabriel passed away unexpectedly November 8, 2022, in Augusta, Maine.

 Carolyn was born January 12, 1942, to the late Merle and Doris Rix in Belgrade Lakes, Maine.

 Carolyn grew up in Belgrade Lakes, Maine and moved to Connecticut where she lived most of her life.

 She is survived by two daughters, Tammy St. Amand of Oakland, Maine and Terry Pritchard of Rio Rancho, New Mexico along with four loving stepchildren, Roy Gabriel, Debbie Palmer, Scott Gabriel, and Keith Gabriel.  Nana to 13 grandchildren and numerous Great grandchildren whom she loved whole heartedly.  She was blessed and survived also by the most amazing sons-in-law, William St. Amand, Robert Pritchard, Fiagrio Ramirez, Carlos Martinez and Jim Wallin, whom she loved very dearly, as well as many cousin, nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.  She loved her friends like family.  She will be forever loved and greatly missed.

 Pre-deceased by her husband Robert David Gabriel, two daughters, Lorrie Ramirez and Tina Gillette.  Parents Merle & Doris Rix, Two sisters, Florence Barker, Loretta Bickford and brother Gary Rix.

 Carolyn was employed with Stanley Works, of New Britain for many years, and then for the State of Connecticut, Tax and Revenue Services where she retired.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. That was her true favorite past time. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and vacationing at the lake.  

 A Graveside service will be held on Friday, November 18, 1 PM, at West Cemetery, 180 North Washington St., Plainville, CT, 06062

Family and friends are welcome.

 In lieu of flower's, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Saint Jude at ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
