Leland Norris Fogg

Date of Death: January 29, 2025

Date of Birth: November 3, 1959

Biography:

Leland Norris Fogg of Durham, Maine passed away on January 29, 2025 at St. Mary's D'Youville in Lewiston.  Leland graduated from Deering High School of Portland in 1978.  He joined the Marines where he served as Military Police from 1978-1986.  Upon returning to Maine he proudly helped to build our Naval ships at Bath Iron Works.  His BIW career spanned 34 years from 1990 to retirement in October 2024.  Leland was fondly referred to as "Foggy" by his BIW buddies, all participating in friendly banter amongst each other.  Leland was a strong and avid swimmer, he enjoyed backyard BBQ's with his family, and he could be found routinely walking his 3-5 mile route along the Sabattus and Androscoggin Rivers in Lisbon.  Everyone with whom Leland's life touched enjoyed his sense of humor and positive outlook and nature. He will be missed by all.

Leland was pre-deceased by his mother, Lois Nordfors, mother-in-law, Betty Hood, and by his wife, Julianna Fogg.  Juli was the love of his life for 30 years and passed pre-maturely in 2019.  He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Lisa Fogg, by his father-in-law and brother-in-law, Ron and Rick Hood.  Leland is also survived by many Jackson family cousins as well as by 2 half brothers, Rob Kennan of Delaware and Raymond Milhomme of Nevada. Lastly, Leland's two cats, Margo and Betty, are enjoying their new home with Arthur and Lisa.

A private gathering at his and Juli's gravesite will be held this spring at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn.
