William J. Fisher

Biography:

Auburn- William John Fisher, 78, of Lewiston, died on December 29, 2015 at the Androscoggin Hospice House.

William was born on July 12, 1937 to Harry and Helen Fisher of Lewiston.   In his younger years, he played High School Hockey.  He graduated from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1957.  He loved his time that he spent in Alaska during his time in the US Air Force.  After leaving the Air Force, he graduated from CMVTI and worked for Northeastern Refigeration Inc. for over 40 years.  Later in life, William enjoyed camping, sports, especially baseball, being outdoors and mostly spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren.

William is predeceased by his mother, father, three brothers; Harry, Jack, and Bob, and two sisters; Nancy and Helen.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years Suzanne (Couillard) Fisher, daughter Jennifer Greener and fiancé Chris Marciniak of Virginia Beach, VA, son Robert Fisher and wife Linda of Auburn, daughter Stephanie Fisher and fiancé Dave Roberts of Lewiston, five grandchildren; Hannah, Emily, Savanna, Abigail, and Lucas; two great grandchildren; Chloie and Riley; sisters Sally D. of Auburn, Sandra and husband Bert Fournier of Westbrook, and Rosalie Baker of Clarksville, MD.

A burial at the VA Cemetery in Augusta is planned for the spring.  More details will follow.
